The American people want mainstream federal judges who will fairly interpret the law based on judicial precedent and common sense, not right-wing ideologues who will decide cases based on their personal political goals. Many of President Bush's nominees for the federal judiciary have failed confirmation because they have a history of advocating extremist views, rather than mainstream values.
