In the middle of a global economic recession, millions of people are unemployed for reasons they cannot control. Now we’ve learned that many companies are specifying in job advertisements that unemployed people cannot apply for open positions.
This is more than unfair to workers — it is devastating, and we urge you to refuse any such advertisements.
For Americans to get back on their feet, they can’t be chained to their involuntary status of unemployment. Please do your part in helping Americans get back to work
In addition to the petition to bring signatures to the companies prohibiting applications from unemployed people, I wish you would provide a list of the companies doing this….so we could write to them personally, so we can boycott their products and so we can write to their suppliers and even more effectively protest their actions.
In your chart on the 1966 comparison to 2010 you should have included how much more the wealthy paid in taxes back then compared to now.
IF my impressions are correct, wasn’t it about 70% then and about 32% now?
Also, I get all your protests are to make the world a better place, but I think you should also acknowledge and endorse businesses who ARE offering the MEANS to Superior Lifestyle….such as ours….and we’re not alone.
