D.C. Rally @ Noon TODAY — Don’t Destroy the American Dream!

Today the U.S. House led by Speaker Boehner will take us closer to default by voting on a bill that can’t pass the Senate & that the President would veto.

They’re wasting America’s time.  Our country and the entire global economy is on the precipice of economic catastrophe.

We need to send a strong, clear message to Congress: Don’t Destroy the American Dream.

We need to keep the pressure on Congress to pass a clean increase in the debt ceiling and to fight back against cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

    Each day brings another knockdown and so we’ll keep getting up again, but rather than butt our heads against that proverbial wall we can and must form the largest coalition of citizens ever seen in this country.
    Congrats to US Action,MoveOn and all who are organizing to confront this power structure. Every step leads us closer to a movement so large that it can’t be ignored.

We intend to shake the walls of Congress and to break the strangle hold corporations have on our government, and we have a very robust framework in place to accomplish that. We have spent months developing our resources and message. Now it is time to bring that message to “The People” Over the course of the next few months you will be hearing more and more about “The People’s Congress” As we build our movement, we will be supporting your efforts and the efforts of others as well.
